Upper or lower eyelid surgery may address selected skin excess, fat prominence, and contour change. Planning must consider brow position, eyelid support, ocular surface symptoms, and the whole periorbital area.
What it may address
Selected upper-lid skin excess, lower-lid bags or contour irregularity, and specific signs of periocular ageing.
What it cannot reliably achieve
It does not reliably correct every dark circle, fine line, brow descent, or cheek-volume issue.
Recovery & temporary effects
Bruising, swelling, dryness, irritation, tightness, and temporary visual fluctuation can occur. Contact-lens and activity restrictions are individualised.
Material risks & complications
Bleeding, infection, dryness, difficulty closing the eye, lid malposition, asymmetry, visible scar, vision-related complications, dissatisfaction, and revision.
